Kenzo Fujisue, PhD., Member of the House of Councilors of Japan
Kenzo Fujisue was born in Kumamoto, Japan in 1964. He is currently a Member of the House of Councilors of Japan.
In 1986 Dr.Fujisue started working for the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), where he held various positions including; Deputy Director of the Environmental Policy and International Technology Policy Divisions, and Section Chief of the Electronics Industry Division. He became an assistant professor at Tokyo University in April 1999, and was promoted to associate professor in July 2000, a position which he held until 2004.
After earning an MS in Management of Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995, and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University in 1996, Fujisue went on to earn a PhD. in Industrial Management from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1999.
Dr. Fujisue is the author of several books and articles including; “Researchers Exchange among APEC Economies” (1997), “Management of Technology for Engineers” (Japanese, 1999), “Promoting Innovation for Japanese Economy” (1999), “Technology Incubator” (Japanese, 2001), “Industry and Academic Collaboration in Japan” (Japanese, 2001), and many others.
He is married with two daughters and a son.
